                        Folk Artist

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and am the fourth generation of women artists in my family.  For me, creating my art is as cathartic as journaling is to a soul seeker….

The nature of my work varies from time to time, but it always involves vibrant color, a joyful feeling with a folk art vibe.  Those familiar with my work see my playful spirit in each piece.  A flying girl with coffee, a winking cow with a boy atop and soul sisters dancing.   I mostly use acrylics on canvas with occasional found items to add some whimsy.

In Wisconsin, I co-founded “The Tree House”, a co-op gallery in an old woolen mill, which served both as a workshop and sales venue for local artisans.

My art has been displayed and sold at galleries, coffee shops and boutiques throughout the Midwest and New Jersey. I have participated in several juried shows and have been an artist in residence for grade schools and summer camps. In addition, my work was utilized for the cover of the national award winning book, “Tastes of Jewish Tradition.”

After raising our sons in Wisconsin, we moved East to be closer to my husband's family. We fell upon a tiny, magical seaside town on the Jersey Shore, called Ocean Grove. Each day I am inspired by intoxicating beach walks and the charm of the people, their dogs and old victorian homes....
